More Than A Meal, Inc. is committed to a responsible approach to the COVID-19 global outbreak. Our top priority is the health and safety of our people, customers, and the public. Our volunteers provide essential services and are operating under current public health and government orders as "Workers who support food, shelter, and social services, and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals, such as those residing in shelters".

 

We are observing added safety precautions by:

• Holding services outside.

• No sit-down area.

• Serving coffee, no more self serve.

• Take out containers.

• Food and clothing services are done at the same time.

• Setting up a double layer of tables, social distancing for volunteers.

• Social distancing, chalk lines to spread out the line of people waiting.

• A small group is allowed to come up to the tables, continued social distancing.

• Handing out all items.

• Enhanced hygiene protocols.

  • Gloves.

  • Masks – volunteers must bring their own (No availability).

  • Purell.

• Additionally, we are moving people on after providing them with supplies.

 

During these times where services have changed and closed, it is our goal to continue to provide essential supplies for people and to encourage them to continue to work toward the goal of getting off the streets. We say a prayer for our homeless brothers and sisters and let them know the love of Jesus can change lives.
